Slide Numbers in Front of Picture

If you have full page graphics you will find that your slide numbers show (or rather don't show) behind the graphic or picture. In 2007 where numbers can be edited you can bring the number to the front but in earlier versions nothing you do will bring it to the front where it can be seen.

Here's a simple answer:

Insert a textbox and then with the cursor still in that box INSERT > SLIDE NUMBER.

Now format and align the textbox so that it matches other slide numbers. Once done you can copy & paste to other similar slides. The number will change automatically as for any other slide number.
